Second Opening : Natalia Villaneuva – “Je te pluierez”

Saturday the 11th of February 2012, cpCONTEMPORARY & SEE Art Advisory hosted their second opening at 11 bis, the solo-show Je te pluierez by young, franco-peruvian artist Natalia Villanueva. A student of Boltanski and Penone, this exhibition is the first individual show in Paris for the artist since her acclaimed participation in the group show Soudain/Déjà, organized by Guillaume Désanges at the École des Beaux Arts last fall.

Visitors were greeted with warm tea and cookies as they passed by, meanwhile traversing the space and admiring Villanueva’s pieces. Currently installed at 11 bis are the works TIC TAC, Limoi, and Mood/Bad/Drawings, as well as the accompanying videos Screaming and Effort. The show is a must see for Villanueva’s unique ability to articulate visceral intuition in an accomplished visual language.

To look forward to at the space, a performance by Natalia Villanueva on March 22 : stay tuned for details by following the blog or joining us on facebook.
